This course is designed to give students a comprehensive view of ethics of communication, its scope and importance in business, and the role of communication in establishing a favorable outside the firm environment, as well as an effective internal communications program.
Course Objective
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Know the different means and channels of the business communication
- Know the difference between Verbal and Non- Verbal Communication
- Proofread and edit copies of business correspondence.
- Use career skills that are needed to succeed, such as using ethical tools, working collaboratively, observing business etiquette, and resolving workplace conflicts,
- Plan successfully for and participate in meetings and conduct proper techniques in telephone usage,
- Use e-mail effectively and efficiently,
- Develop interpersonal skills that contribute to effective and satisfying personal, social and professional relationships.
- Plan and deliver a speech and presentation
- Speak comfortably before large groups in formal and impromptu settings
- Maintain attention and interest with imagery, facts, and quotes
- Explain and demonstrate products
- Make a pitch and close a sale
- Persuade an audience or motivate them with a speech

Course description
This course is designed to lay on a path toward future studies in web development and design, no matter how little experience or technical knowledge students currently have. By the end of this course students will be able to describe the structure and functionality of the world wide web, create dynamic web pages using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, apply essential programming language concepts when creating HTML forms, select an appropriate web hosting service, and publish your webpages for the world to see. Finally, students will be able to develop a working model for creating your own personal or business websites in the future and be fully prepared to take the next step in a more advanced web development or design course or specialization.
